Testimonial: Hello Cottage Connections We returned from our vacation on Saturday and miss it already . You were right about us loving this place, Allen's Cove was everything we hoped it would be. Swimming, boating, fishing and relaxation are what this place is all about. But most of all, I have to say how impressed I was with how nice, well kept and well equiped this cottage was as we didn't want for anything. We saw lots of wildlife - loons, geese, heron(s), chipmunks, lots of fish, a snapping turtle stole my fishing basket with my fish inside (I got it back though), and yes ,we even seen a bear (thankfully not at the cottage) but at the Trading Post toward Buckhorn - it came out of the brush while we were walking around outside. All and all my wife and kids and even my yellow lab had an awesome time and are hoping to go back to Allen's cove next year. Thanks for your help.
Best Regards ,
Chris and Family.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am (unless otherwise stated in cottage description)
Peak season (summer) rentals must be a minimum of seven days from Saturday to Saturday (unless otherwise stated in the cottage listing)
Large rocks at the shoreline provide an opportunity for kids to use their imagination playing games and spending endless time exploring, natural hard packed sand beyond the rocks , 110' frontage, Watershoes are needed. Dock approximately 40' long
The cottage has both a wade-in area and a swimming area off the dock into 6 feet of water. There are some weeds off the dock and the wading area is a mix of larger rocks and sand without weeds. There is sand in the beach area.
Lots of sand on shore, shallow access, U shaped dock, 160' frontage, cribbed shoreline,The water from the beach is very gradual. You could walk about 30 feet before it gets 4 feet deep. The water straight off the dock is about 4 feet and drops off slowly to 6-7 feet. Weeds can occur later on in the summer
